Since we've already featured two stunning retrospectives looking back at cinema throughout the yer 2010, we were going to wait until the last week of December to feature anymore fond memories of films passed. But now Kees van Dijkhuizen is back with Cinema 2010. The man delivered his own 2009 retrospective last year and was then commissioned to create a similar video for 15 years of Fox Searchlight. Yet again showing his amazing editing skills, van Dijkhuizen looks back at 2010 with clips from films like Let Me In, Buried, The Town complete with a soundtrack featuring some familiar music from this year's movie trailers.
Along with providing a detailed breakdown of the films featured (complete with timecode index), this is what van Dijkhuizen had to say: "We’ve reached the end of yet another unforgettable year of movies. Not only did this years movies push boundaries even further, they did so with impeccable risks. In a time of recession and playing-it-safe, films like Inception and The Social Network still found a great audience. But smaller films also, like Blue Valentine, Splice, Buried and Breaking Upwards found a loving audience. It’s crazy to think that all these films came out in one year, and so I tried my best do give them each a moment of glory in my latest film retrospective, Cinema 2010." What do you think?
